This new still of Peter Facinelli as Dr. Carlisle Cullen has been released.  I know what scene it’s from only because I watched New Moon yesterday. I thought Peter did a wonderful job. There was more of a part for him this time around. And look at those eyes. I loved how you could notice their eyes this time.

Peter Facinelli is super adorable and in this interview he really shows off his cuteness.  In this interview with PopEater he talks about the premiere, Twitter and his new iPhone app that can make people vampires. And when he’s talking about the app you have to watch for that sparkle in his eyes. He gets so excited!

Here are the highlights from the interview:

The film’s premiere: “That was pretty phenomenal. To show up somewhere and have six blocks of screaming fans is pretty fantastic.”

Seeing it on the big screen: “What was great about this was, I wasn’t in a lot of the werewolf stuff, so it was fun to watch something that I hadn’t been in so I got to see it as an audience member.”

His favorite scene: “Watching Jacob [transform.]”

He hopes ‘Breaking Dawn’ gets made: “As an actor you take on these books and I want to be able to close the chapter on them, no pun intended, and complete the saga and as a fan I’d love to see all four of them made.”

How his co-stars love lives are constantly scrutinized: “It’s sad to me because they are friends of mine … and it’s tough.”

I am off to see New Moon today with my kids. I’m super excited to see the parts with Carlisle in them. I hope that he has more of role than he did with Twilight. I know in Eclipse he has a bigger part. There is hope for Team Carlisle.

I am loving this still of both Carlisle and Esme together. I still wish that they had a book or a movie for just themselves. Or maybe I’m just nuts.

It’s nice to see an interview with most of the family together. Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene are in this one talking about how they feel like a family. They also talk about fans and how maybe they’ll star in a TV series called, Meet The Cullens. (We all know we would love too see them all in our house as a TV series…)

I am loving this still from Bella’s Birthday party, it’s one of the better ones I have seen with Carlisle and Esme in it. And I’ve even tracked down other stills with Peter Facinelli in them that I haven’t seen yet! So thank you very much to the site Quintessence for having these!

New Moon is coming so soon I can hardly contain myself anymore.

With New Moon coming in only weeks now we get to read every interview imaginable from all the cast. I cover alot of the cast members over on my other site. But today I wanted to talk about Peter Facinelli over here.  Peter did an interview for Vanity Fair where he talked about Dr. Carlisle Cullen and what he thinks of the other cast members.

On if he has assumed the fatherly role on the set: You know, on Twilight I feel like they looked to me as the father figure, but because we became so close, I’m more of an older brother now.

On if the cast is different since the fist time they got together: Rob[ert Pattinson] has more security guards hanging around him! [Laughs] Other than that, not really. We really enjoy each other’s company, and we’ve been working so much on this movie that we really haven’t had as much time to hang out with each other. We’re putting in these long hours and then just heading home. Usually we just try to catch dinner with each other then get back up the next morning and do it all over again.

On one thing that has changed the most since starting the franchise: I’m traveling a lot more than I used to and interacting with a lot more people. The fan base on this, I don’t know how else to explain it … it’s a cultural phenomenon. People will actually hop on a plane to see you. Sometimes I do these charity events, and people fly in to come and see me. I’m just really, really impressed with [the fan] dedication to these books and to the movies. I’ve always had a fan base with the work I’ve done, but never as rabid as this.

On connecting with the fans: You know, I love connecting with the fans because I’m a fan of the books myself. They’re all so dedicated and wonderful to me that I love to be able to give back. So if stopping for a picture or signing a book of theirs puts a smile on their face, then that makes me happy, too. I kind of go out of my way to make sure—if there are fans hanging around the set—to try to stop and say hello to them before I get in the van. It takes five minutes to make people happy. I love interacting with them.

On how Twilight is different from New Moon: You know, Twilight was an independent movie. It was shot very documentary style, the way Catherine [Hardwicke, Twilight’s director] shoots. It has a rawness to it, which I think is nice. New Moon’s a little bit crisper, it has a little bit more of a studio feel, but it still has that edge.

I guess I’m a bit biased. Of all the New Moon trading cards that I saw I thought this one was the best one. Finally, a great picture of Dr. Carlisle Cullen for me to see. I really love the way that he looks for the whole movie. I’m glad it doesn’t have that blue haze all the way through.

I have to say that i was quite impressed when I saw that they included Carlisle Cullen and Esme in the New Moon Calendar. I love the relationship the both of them have. I do spend a lot of time analyzing it. I really hope some day they can make a movie on just them. I know that I would watch it. And for Peter Facinelli I would do almost anything.
